Mission & History
Vision —>
To make San Diego County the most bike-friendly region in the world.
We serve our region’s ethnically, economically, and culturally diverse communities through advocacy, education, and celebration of “life by bike.”
Mission —>
The Bike Coalition advocates for and protects the rights of all people who ride bicycles.
We promote cycling as a mainstream, safe, and enjoyable form of transportation and recreation.
History
Since 1987, we have acted as a voice for bicyclists in the region, advocating for safer streets and hundreds of miles of bike paths, lanes, and trails across the County.
We conduct educational programs, promote awareness of cyclists and active transportation issues, review infrastructure improvements, and represent bicyclists to elected officials and decision-makers throughout the County.
